Mikaela Mayer signs with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions | 'I've always wanted the biggest and best fights'

Three-division world champion Mikaela Mayer has signed with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.

Mayer is the reigning WBC and WBA super-welterweight world champion and also holds the WBO welterweight title.

The star American joins Most Valuable Promotions as the company launches MVPW, its new global platform dedicated to women's boxing.

Mayer jumped up to super-welterweight to win two world titles in her third division when she beat Mary Spencer in Canada last October.

She defeated Sandy Ryan to become the WBO welterweight world champion in New York and defended that belt in Las Vegas in a rematch with Ryan.

Mayer first became a world champion at super-featherweight, losing her IBF and WBO belts at 130lbs to Alycia Baumgardner after a contentious decision at the O2 Arena in London in 2022.

She also travelled to Liverpool to challenge Natasha Jonas for the IBF welterweight belt in 2024.

"I'm thrilled to join Most Valuable Promotions as we continue breaking barriers and elevating women's boxing to new heights," Mayer said.

"I've always wanted the biggest and best fights, and MVP's premier roster of women champions creates incredible opportunities to make those match ups happen.

"I'm looking forward to showcasing my skills on some of the biggest platforms in the sport and working with a passionate, innovative team that believes in the continued growth of women's boxing."

Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions, said: "Mikaela is one of the most accomplished fighters in women's boxing and a proven champion across multiple weight classes.

"She has competed on the sport's biggest stages, faced the best fighters in the world, and continues to push the sport forward. We're proud to welcome Mikaela to MVP and look forward to building the next chapter of her career together."
